The University of Dallas is a liberal institution. Our physics department consists of four full-time faculty and about 50 majors.
We graduate about 8-10 physics majors each year. Most physics majors in our program go to graduate school in physics or engineering. We do have about 20% per year that go to teach physics at private schools without certification and then go on to graduate school. We do have a 4+1 certification program with our education department. One of our goals is to get more of our students certified for Texas schools. We have a version of "learning assistant program" (Undergraduate teaching assistants in labs) that gives our majors teaching experience.
