The Randolph-Macon Noyce Teacher-Scholar Program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career as a high school chemistry, biology, or physics teacher after graduation. The program was funded by a $1.2 million grant from the National Science Foundation, and provides amazing benefits to students accepted into the program. These benefits include:
- A Four year, full-tuition scholarship to students accepted into the program.
- Special housing on campus with other students interested in education careers.
- Training in the newest educational technology.
- Special field placements with the best chemistry, biology, and physics teachers in the area for student teaching and observation.
- Paid summer internships and education-related experience.
- Job placement and support after graduation, including funds to start up a classroom in the first year!
