The project collects data on the number of PhysTEC Graduates and PhysTEC Future Teachers; these PhysTEC terms are defined here. The project also collects data on physics pedagogy courses, early teaching experiences, and enrollment in K-8 physical science courses for future elementary school teachers.

Definition of a Future Teacher at Colorado School of Mines: 

Physics Major or a major that requires the equivalent of a physics minor. Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering clearly meet this requirement. There are others that are close but we currently do not have students in the program from those majors.

Commentary on Future Physics Teachers data: 

 We are quite happy with these numbers for our first year in existence!
