Post-Conference Workshop: Setting up Your Learning Assistant Program
Presented by Valerie Otero, Laurie Langdon, Eleanor Close, and Brooke Evans
Learn the basics of setting up your own Learning Assistant (LA) program. LA programs improve student success in STEM majors by giving undergraduate students the skills to facilitate discussions and provide peer-to-peer academic help. This creates a welcoming and supportive environment for fellow students in gateway STEM courses.
