Description: The University of Nebraska hosts a Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) entitled Quantum and Spin Phenomena in Nanomagnetic Structure. The MRSEC is funded by the National Science Foundation and involves faculty and students from Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering in state-of-the-art research on nanoscale magnetic materials, and offers many different opportunities for middle- and high-school science teachers to become involved. We are seeking at least four science teachers to become engaged in this research during the summer of 2008.
