The Applied Physics degree at Coastal Carolina University focuses on the application of physics to particular problems. The major offers three tracks: general physics, engineering physics, and environmental physics. Students interested in the 3-2 engineering program with Clemson University, those interested in mechanical or civil engineering, should consider applied physics. Students interested in teaching science at the secondary level should also consider an applied physics degree and then pursue the M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching) through the Spadoni College of Education.
